We are Sean and Anne Canning, a mature couple. Sean is a high-school teacher and Anne has worked in the pharmaceutical industry but now devotes her time to art. We are careful and appreciative tenants. Edenderry is a small town. There are two supermarkets so all groceries etc. may be purchased there if you wish. It is about 38 miles from Dublin and it it is located near the centre of the island so a lot of interesting places can be done on a day-trip if you wish. We are also only a 20 min drive from The Curragh which is a well known area for horse racing and training. Horse racing is held regularly there throughout the Summer. We are also near a canal and about 1 and a half hours from a good beach. There are plenty of museums, art galleries, theatres, and everything you would expect to find in a large city in Dublin. If you do not wish to drive to Dublin there is a very good bus service from Edenderry. We are also a short drive from Mullingar and Naas. Details will be provided. There are several good restaurants within a short drive of Edenderry. There is a very good doctor practicing in the town and a hospital with Accident and Emergency Dept. in Tullamore, 20 miles away. Our home can sleep 6 (three queen size beds). There is a community swimming pool which we recommend in Mullingar. There are several pubs in Edenderry, one or two in particular have very good Irish music sessions.
